John DeNike, Yacht Broker

John’s interest with boating started at a young age aboard his father’s 60-foot tug built in 1890 – “Challenge.” At 19 years old John joined the U.S. Navy and served his country aboard nuclear submarine tenders. Afterwards, John started his own yacht refinishing/service business, giving him an extremely strong background in the proper care of yachts.  After working on a personal yacht owned by a local auto business leader, John was offered a position with Chuck Olson Chevrolet. This led to a successful 35 years in the car business where John successfully finished his career owning and operating three dealerships. Recently retired from that industry, John has decided to combine his business acumen with his extensive motor yachting experience and is extremely excited to join forces with Bellingham Yachts. John, along with his son Richard, work out of the new office on the Everett waterfront. John’s main focus on his new voyage is helping new and current owners connect their passion and enjoyment with the perfect vessel that fits their needs. John passionately believes he can help people begin, or continue, enjoying the beautiful Pacific Northwest and rich Canadian waters, and most importantly building the memories that follow. John has been married for 34 years to Linda Ann and they share five wonderful children. On his days off, you’ll find John either in the office at Everett, on the golf course or most importantly cruising and fishing the PNW.
